They don’t like sunlight!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a reason why sunbeds and sunbathing are linked to ageing skin. <\/span><\/p>\n

UV rays break down the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid in the skin and so if you use sunbeds, your skin is more prone to wrinkling. In the first 24-48 hours post filler injection, your lips will look swollen and a bit unnatural; this is normal, along with some bruising and tenderness. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is advised to avoid putting on lipsticks or attending dental check-ups during this time, to prevent unnecessary pressure which can prolong the swelling. But if you notice that the swelling is not reducing and is becoming uncomfortable, you will need to have a follow-up appointment with our team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Age is a factor<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Along with smoking and UV exposure, the age at which you had the injections applied will also impact on their lifespan. <\/span><\/p>\n
