Are you tired of having fine lines and wrinkles? Try Botox in Kent!

Have you ever woken up in the morning, looked in the mirror and wondered who the ageing reflection belongs to? It can’t be you, right? At Stangrove Court Dental Practice, we understand that for many patients, having a fresh and youthful appearance is what they want to see when they wake up in the mornings. Established over 40 years ago, we definitely have the experience needed to help you reduce the appearance of these fine lines and wrinkles using Botox; after all, dentists are experts in facial anatomy and it makes sense to trust them with delicate work such as injecting Botox Kent.

What is Botox?

Botox is a brand name for the botulinum toxin type A. There is no need to ‘go under the knife’ to get a fresher look and many patients prefer this prospect to major surgery.

When the botulinum toxin type A is injected into the face, it relaxes the facial muscles that are causing fine lines and wrinkles. As they relax, the skin becomes smoother thanks to the nerve impulses being blocked.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

Botox Kent is used to treat areas including frown lines, which are the lines that develop vertically between the eyebrows; crow’s feet, forehead lines and the lines that develop around the mouth and top lip, known as ‘smoker’s lines’.

How long does the procedure last?

If you’re concerned about the injections, fear not! The procedure is very short, lasting a matter of minutes, and it should be completely painless too! After 5-10 minutes of treatment, you should be free to go and we do not use anaesthetic, so there is no down-time required. This means that you can pay us a visit during your lunch break, if you need to and it won’t impact on the rest of your day. Ordinarily, results should then be seen within a few days, 4-7 days at a push.

Anything else I need to know about Botox?

Botox is not a permanent solution to fine lines and wrinkles, which means you will need to have top-up injections every 3 months or so. The beauty of this treatment is that it is not permanent and you can see the difference for yourself and at the end of the 3 months, if you decide not to continue with treatment, you can opt out without any worries - the choice is yours!
